Pinning and moderating comments

Pinning a comment

If you wrote a post, you can pin one comment to the

top of its thread — the answer everyone should see

first, the update that corrects the original post, the

comment that settles the question.

Press and hold the comment (on a computer, the same

press-and-hold works with the mouse) and choose

📌 Pin. The comment moves to the top of the thread

with a 📌 Pinned badge next to its name, in every

sort order.

  • A post has one pin. Pinning a different comment

moves the pin — the old one quietly returns to its

place in the thread.

  • Choose 📌 Unpin from the same menu to take the

pin down.

  • If the pinned comment is deleted, the pin goes with

it.

  • Only the identity that authored the post can pin. If

your band posted something as the band, the people who

run the band page can pin on it — answering as yourself

on your own post counts too, because you are the

author either way.

  • Pins are for comments on posts. The questions

under a Marketplace listing do not pin — the seller

answers there instead, and wears the Author badge.

Moderating your own wall

The people who run a band or venue page can **remove

other people's comments** from posts on that page's own

wall. Press and hold the comment and choose

🗑️ Delete.

  • It works exactly like any other comment deletion: the

comment becomes a tombstone ("This comment was

deleted") and its replies stay — removing a

comment never takes the conversation under it away.

  • It is strictly your own wall. Running one band gives

you no say on another band's wall, a venue, or

anyone's profile.

  • Site admins keep their separate, site-wide delete.

Running a page is what gives you the wall-level one.

  • On a Marketplace listing, the seller moderates the

listing's own questions the same way.

Removing your own tag from someone else's post or

comment is separate — see Tagging people and pages.
