Musician map view

The 🗺 Map view plots your current musician search results on a map —

same filters as the list, so what you filtered is what you see.

How to use it

  1. Run a search on the Musicians page (genre, skill, distance-friendly

filters — whatever you need).

  1. Click 🗺 Map view above the results.
  2. Click any pin for the musician's name, town, and profile link.

Distance rings

If you're logged in and your profile has a location pin, the map draws

three dashed rings around you — 10, 25, and 50 miles — plus a "You"

pin. It's the fastest way to see who's actually within driving distance.

Tips

  • The map only shows musicians with a location pin. No pin, no dot —

nudge people to set theirs.

  • Combine with the Reads charts + Dep pool workflow when you need

a sub tonight: filter, map, call.

  • On phones the map is shorter to fit small screens; pinch-zoom works.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

  • The map is empty. Your filters may be too tight, or nobody in the

result set pinned a location. Loosen the filters and check.

  • No rings around me. Rings need your own location pin — set it on

Edit profile (or it was set at signup via the pin-drop).

  • A pin is in the wrong town. The pin is only as good as the data —

ask the musician to fix their location.

  • Map tiles don't load. Tiles come from OpenStreetMap over the

network; check your connection and reload.
