Verified venues

A venue page shows a ✓ Verified venue badge when a MusicXen staff member

has reviewed that venue's license documentation and confirmed it's a real

licensed venue.

What it means — and what it doesn't

  • It means: staff reviewed the venue's license documentation (business

license, liquor license, occupancy permit, or lease) and believe the venue

is legitimate.

  • It does NOT mean: we booked the venue, we guarantee your payment, or

the venue is "recommended". It says the venue is real — nothing more.

  • Nothing is automatic. There is no automated verification. Every badge

comes from a human review.

Getting verified

Venue managers: Venue page → Get verified ✓ → upload the license

document (JPG, PNG, GIF, or PDF, max 10 MB). It goes into the staff review

queue. Only the badge is ever shown publicly — the document itself is never

visible to anyone but staff.

If a submission is rejected, you can re-apply with new documentation; the

venue page will show you the option again.
