Endorsements

Endorsements are skill badges on your profile from other MusicXen members —

proof that real people vouch for your timing, your professionalism, your

stage presence. They show as labeled chips with a count and the names of who

endorsed you.

How to endorse someone

  1. Visit their profile.
  2. Open 👍 Endorse and pick a skill from the list.
  3. Click Endorse.

To take back an endorsement, click Retract under the same list.

The eight skills

Timing / groove, Harmony vocals, Shows up on time, Always prepared, Stage

presence, Reads charts, Easy to communicate with, and Professional attitude.

Tips

  • Endorse people you've actually played with — a chip backed by a real gig

means something.

  • Endorsements are public. Your name appears on the chip you gave.
  • Giving endorsements is the best way to get them. Musicians remember.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

  • The skill I gave already is grayed out. You can endorse each person

once per skill. The ✓ marks the ones you've given.

  • "You can't endorse yourself." Correct — self-endorsements don't count.

Your chips have to come from other people.

  • Someone endorsed me and I don't know them. Check their profile. If it's

spam, the retract control is yours — but only the endorser can retract,

and you can't remove a chip from your own profile. Message them if it bugs

you.

  • My endorsement count didn't change. Refresh the page — counts update

on save.
