Themes

MusicXen ships with ten theme packs — the classic 2011 look is the

default, and there's a light mode for daytime browsing.

The lineup

  • Blue 2 (2011 default) — the dark 2011 look, blue gradient header.
  • Default blue (2011) and Default blue alt (2011) — the original

2011 blues.

  • Green (2011), Pink (2011), Purple (2011), Red (2011) — the 2011

colorways.

  • Christmas (2011) and Christmas alt (2011) — seasonal 2011.
  • Daybreak (light) — the one light theme, for bright rooms.

How to switch

  1. Open Settings from the header (you need to be logged in).
  2. Under Appearance, click any theme name — it applies immediately.
  3. Your choice is saved in a cookie on that browser, so each device can

have its own theme.

Tips

  • Daybreak is the easiest on the eyes in sunlight; the dark 2011

themes are easier in a dim venue or green room.

  • Screenshots for bug reports look best in the default Blue 2 theme

— it's what the team tests against.

  • Theme choice is per-browser, not per-account: set it once on your

phone and once on your computer.

Troubleshooting

The theme didn't change. Hard-refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R) —

your browser cached the old stylesheet.

The site looks unstyled / broken. Your theme cookie may name a theme

that no longer exists. Clear cookies for the site (or open it in a

private window) and pick again from Settings.

Flyers and print pages ignore my theme. That's intentional — flyer

templates and print stylesheets have their own designs so your promo

material looks the same for everyone.
