Starting a band

You don't need an existing band to get started on MusicXen — the

start-a-band wizard builds the page and posts your help-wanted ads in

one pass.

The three steps

Click Start a band in the nav or go to `/bands/wizard`.

Rhythm Guitar, Keys, Vocals…) or instruments, or type your own. One

wanted ad is posted per role, and you can write one ad text that's used

for all of them.

Create band & post ads.

You become the band's first member with the Admin role. From the

Members tab you can invite the rest of the lineup.

Every ad runs for 30 days by default (you can set 1–90 days) and then

expires automatically, so the Musicians Wanted board never goes stale.

The Wanted link in the main nav shows every live ad; click one to see

the band. You can also post ads later from your band's Members tab and

close them anytime.
