Practice rooms

"Rent my practice room": hourly room listings from studios and individuals — a separate directory from rehearsal spaces, built for one-off hourly rental.

Finding a room

Open Practice rooms (`/practice-rooms`). Search by name, city, or gear. Each listing shows the hourly rate, what's in the room, and the owner's notes (house rules, access, parking).

Requesting hours

On a room's page, fill in when (e.g. "Sat Oct 11, 2–4pm") and how many hours, plus a message to the owner, and hit Request hours. The owner gets an in-app notification and confirms or declines. One pending request per room at a time — the page tells you if one's already open.

Listing your room

Log in and scroll to List your practice room on `/practice-rooms`: name, hourly rate, location, gear, and notes. Your incoming requests appear on the room's page when you view it (only you and admins see them), with Confirm / Decline buttons. Hide listing takes it out of the directory without deleting it.

FAQ

Does MusicXen take a cut of room rentals? No — payment is between you and the room owner, off-platform.

The owner isn't responding? MusicXen can't force a reply; the request stays pending. Many owners include a phone number in their notes.

Can I request my own room? No — the form blocks that.
