The formula

velocity = (RSVPs in the last 7 days) ÷ (days since the show was posted)

A show posted yesterday with 6 RSVPs scores 6.0/day and outranks a show posted a month ago with 20 RSVPs (0.7/day). Only upcoming, confirmed shows with at least one RSVP this week make the list.

Why velocity, not totals?

Totals favor old listings: a show posted two months ago accumulates RSVPs just by sitting there. Velocity answers the better question — what's heating up right now? — so a buzzing new listing can top the chart on day one.

Tips

  • Posting a show? Share it early — every day before the first RSVP dilutes your velocity.
  • "Going" and "interested" RSVPs both count.
  • The page shows each show's velocity, this week's RSVPs, total RSVPs, and how long ago it was posted, so the ranking is fully transparent.

FAQ

My show has lots of RSVPs but isn't listed. They must have arrived more than 7 days ago. New RSVPs this week put you back on the chart.

A show with fewer total RSVPs outranks mine. That's the point — it's gaining them faster. Check the per-day numbers on the page.
