Flyer A/B testing

Can't decide between two designs? Don't guess — test. Make two flyers for

the same show (design A and design B), hand out both, and let the

QR scans tell you which one pulled.

How it works

  1. In the Flyer studio, use Create A/B pair (or create two flyers

manually, one with variant A and one with variant B — different

templates recommended).

  1. Each flyer's QR code points to its own `/f/<flyer>` link. When someone

scans, MusicXen logs the scan (time, design) and sends them to the show

page.

  1. Open Flyer A/B results (`/shows/<id>/flyers/ab`) any time: total

scans per design, a bar comparison, per-flyer counts, and the 20 most

recent scans.

Tips

  • Give each design a fair shot: post A in one place and B in another, or

alternate which one the street team hands out.

  • Scans are the honest metric — a pretty flyer nobody scans loses to an

ugly one everybody scans.

  • The same scan log powers the per-flyer "N QR scans" line on each flyer

page.

Troubleshooting

  • Zero scans on both designs. The QRs only log when scanned by a

phone camera — test one yourself first, then check the A/B page again.

  • I deleted a flyer. Its scans go with it (they're tied to the flyer

row). The show-level totals on the A/B page only count live flyers.
