Animated social teaser

A moving teaser beats a static flyer in the feed. The **animated social

teaser** (`/shows/<id>/teaser`) is a live animated preview of your show

announcement — headline slides in, details cascade, an equalizer dances —

with your band's audio snippet playing underneath when one is uploaded.

Using it

  1. From the Flyer studio, open Animated teaser.
  2. Press play on the audio (if the band has an uploaded public track,

the latest one plays; otherwise the teaser is silent and says so).

  1. Record your screen while it plays — that recording is your video

file for posting.

An honest note about video files

MusicXen does not render a video file for you. Real server-side video

would need ffmpeg, which we deliberately don't ship — instead the teaser

is a live web animation, and your phone's screen recorder (built into

both iOS and Android) captures it perfectly. One extra step, zero extra

infrastructure, no quality loss.

Tips

  • Upload a 15–30 second hook as a band track if you want the teaser to

slap — the latest public track is what plays.

  • Screen-record in portrait for stories/reels, landscape for feed posts.
  • The teaser page is public, so you can send the link to bandmates for

approval before recording.

Troubleshooting

  • No audio plays. The band has no public uploaded track yet — upload

one on the band page and reload the teaser.

  • The animation looks frozen. It's CSS animation — if your browser has

"reduce motion" enabled, animations are intentionally stilled.
