Influences

Influences are the artists who shaped your sound. They show on your profile

as a tag cloud — a quick, visual way for visitors to understand where you're

coming from musically.

How to add them

  1. Go to Edit profile.
  2. Under Influences, type artist names separated by commas

(e.g. "Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Meters").

  1. Click Save profile.

To remove one, delete its name from the box and save.

Tips

  • Pick the 5–15 that actually define your sound. A giant list says nothing.
  • Band influences work too — list whoever matters, players or bands.
  • Influences pair well with your bio: name them in the bio for context, keep

the cloud as the quick-scan version.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

  • My influence didn't save. Make sure names are separated by commas —

a space alone doesn't split them.

  • Duplicate names showed up. Each name appears once; saving again with

the same list doesn't duplicate anything.

  • Can I link an influence to their page? Not yet — names are plain text

for now.
