Flyer maker

Turn any show into a designed flyer in seconds — no design software, no typing.

Every flyer is auto-filled from the show details (date, lineup, venue,

price, age info), so the flyer can never disagree with the show page.

Making a flyer

  1. Open your show page and go to Flyer studio (`/shows/<id>/flyers`).
  2. Pick one of the five templates:
  • 2011 Classic — the 2011 look: parchment, serif type, centered rules (the default).
  • 2011 Neon — the 2011 layout with a neon-on-black club treatment.
  • Modern Dark — big condensed type on near-black.
  • Modern Poster — bold Swiss blocks of color.
  • Modern Minimal — lots of air, thin type, one accent rule.
  1. Choose design variant A or B (used for A/B testing — see below),

optionally override the headline (blank = the band/headliner name).

  1. Create flyer — the rendered flyer page opens immediately.

QR codes

Every flyer carries a QR code that encodes the real show URL on this

server (`/f/<flyer>`), which logs the scan and sends the scanner to the

show page. It is generated from the address you're actually visiting the

site on — never a placeholder domain. The QR appears on the flyer page,

the print version, and all social exports.

Social-size exports

On the flyer page, one click downloads a PNG sized for each placement:

  • Square — 1080×1080 (feed posts)
  • Story — 1080×1920 (stories/reels covers)
  • Banner — 1200×628 (event headers, link previews)

These are clean branded renders of the same flyer details (not pixel copies

of the HTML template) — they say "social render" nowhere, they just look

right at each size.

Printing 11×17

The Print 11×17 button opens a print stylesheet: an 11in × 17in page

with crop marks at the corners and a half-inch bleed margin. Print at

100% scale (not "fit to page") and trim on the marks.

Tips

  • Fill in the lineup builder and prices before making the flyer — the

flyer pulls support acts, door/advance prices, and age info automatically.

  • Only band admins, venue managers, and site admins can create flyers and

download exports. The flyer, print, and teaser pages themselves are public

so you can share the links.

Troubleshooting

  • The flyer shows the wrong band name. Set the headliner in the lineup

builder, or type a headline override when creating the flyer.

  • The QR scans but goes nowhere. The QR points at this server's address

— if you created the flyer while visiting via a different hostname (e.g.

localhost vs the public domain), re-create it from the public address.

  • An export looks plain. Exports are simplified renders by design; the

full designed flyer is the flyer page itself (screenshot it at any size).
