Needs boards: art & recording

Two public classifieds where bands post the work they need and artists/studios pitch for it.

  • Needs Art (`/needs-art`) — logos, flyers, album art, merch
  • Needs Recording (`/needs-recording`) — tracking, mixing, mastering, session players

Posting a gig

Log in, scroll to Post a gig on either board: a title, the budget (optional — leave it blank and it shows "Budget not stated"), details, and a contact. The post goes live immediately in the board listing.

Pitching

Open any open post and write your pitch: who you are, what you'd do, turnaround. The poster gets an in-app notification and sees every pitch under their post. One pitch per person per post; the post's author can't pitch their own gig.

Managing your post

The post's author sees Close this post on the detail page — closing hides it from the board listing without deleting it; Reopen brings it back.

FAQ

Does MusicXen take a cut of board work? No — negotiate and pay directly with the artist or studio.

Can I edit a post after publishing? Not yet — close it and post a corrected version.

Who sees my pitch? Anyone viewing the post. Keep contact details you'd rather not share out of it — use the board's contact field on your own posts instead.
