Booking pipeline & soft holds

Every booking moves through a pipeline, visible on the **Booking

pipeline board (linked from the Bookings page): Inquiry →**

Negotiating → Soft hold → Confirmed → Done.

The stages

  • Inquiry — a proposal waiting on the venue.
  • Negotiating — a counter-offer is on the table.
  • Soft hold — the venue is interested but not ready to commit.
  • Confirmed — both sides approved; the date is locked.
  • Done — the show date has passed. (Past confirmed shows move here

automatically.)

  • Cancelled — shown in a separate list with the reason.

Soft holds

A venue can place a 7-day soft hold on a proposal instead of

approving or declining it — useful when they're waiting on a routing

decision or a headliner confirmation. While the hold is active:

  • The band is notified and sees the expiry date.
  • Either side can release the hold early (it goes back to Inquiry).
  • The venue can confirm the hold into a real booking at any time.

If the 7 days run out without confirmation, the hold **releases

automatically**: the booking is marked cancelled with the reason "Soft

hold expired" and both sides are notified. Holds are checked whenever

anyone opens a booking page, so nothing needs a background job.
