Typical pay

Every venue profile can state its typical pay: the deal structure

(Guarantee, Door deal, Door + guarantee, or **Percentage of

bar**) plus a typical payout range in dollars. Bands see it on the venue

page, and bookers can filter the Venues directory by pay type —

so a band that only takes guarantees can skip the door-deal rooms.

Setting your pay

  1. Open Edit venue profile on your venue page.
  2. Under Typical pay, pick the deal structure you use most often.
  3. Enter the typical payout range (low and high, in dollars). If you

type the low higher than the high, they're swapped automatically.

  1. Save venue profile.

Filtering venues by pay

  1. Go to the Venues directory.
  2. Pick a pay type from the Pay dropdown and click Filter.
  3. Only venue owners with at least one venue using that pay type are

listed. Matching cards also show the pay label (e.g. "Door deal

($200–$500)").

Tips

  • The range is "typical," not a promise — unusual nights still happen.

Put the exact deal in the booking conversation or your house rules.

  • "Percentage of bar" covers bar-percentage and similar cut deals.

FAQ

Does the pay field create a contract?

No. It's a signal to help bands self-select. The real terms are agreed

per show in the booking flow.

Can I set different pay for weeknights vs weekends?

Not as structured data yet — put the breakdown in your house rules,

which bands must agree to before booking.
