Open jams

Open jams are recurring weekly sessions with no audition — you just

show up with your instrument. The 🎶 Open Jams board lists them by

weekday.

How to find a jam

  1. Open Open Jams (linked from the Musicians page).
  2. Filter by weekday, or browse the whole week.
  3. Each listing shows the day, time, venue, and what to expect (house

band? backline provided? cover charge?).

How to list your jam

  1. Log in and scroll to List your jam at the bottom of the board.
  2. Fill in the title, weekday, start/end time, venue, and a description —

say what's provided and what to bring.

  1. Submit. It now repeats every week until you take it down.

To remove a listing, click Take down on your jam (hosts and site

admins only).

Tips

  • Say whether there's a backline, a sign-up sheet, or a cover — the

three questions every jam-goer asks.

  • End time is optional; leave it blank for "until it ends".
  • Jams are the fastest way to meet players in a new town: show up twice

and you're a regular.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

  • My jam doesn't show. Listings are weekly by design — check the

weekday filter isn't hiding it.

  • Wrong day listed. Weekday runs Monday–Sunday; double-check the

dropdown when posting.

  • Can I list a one-off jam? The board is for recurring weekly jams.

One-offs belong on the Shows calendar.
