Booking contracts

When a show is booked on MusicXen, the show team can generate a performance agreement (deal memo) right from the show page.

What's in a contract

  • Show date, venue, and location
  • Pay amount and pay type (flat fee, door split, or guarantee-plus)
  • Set length in minutes
  • Load-in and soundcheck times
  • Cancellation terms
  • Any other terms you agree on

Digital signatures

Both sides sign digitally — the band and the venue each click "Sign" and the site records a timestamp. Once both sides have signed, the contract status becomes signed. Editing the terms after signing resets both signatures, so nobody gets surprised.

Workflow

  1. Go to the show's Team page and click Contract.
  2. Fill in the terms and save — this creates a draft.
  3. Click Send to both parties when the terms are final.
  4. Each side signs. Done — the agreement is on record.

Who can do what

Anyone on the show team (venue managers, band members, agents, promoters) can create and edit the contract. Band members sign for the band; venue managers sign for the venue. Site admins can sign either side if needed.
