Getting started: new fan

You don't play — you go out. Here's how MusicXen works for fans.

Run the signup wizard and pick the Fan

position type. Set your city — everything (tonight's shows, distance,

alerts) keys off it.

Step 2 — Follow your bands (5 min)

Search for the bands you love and hit follow. Then open the

Fans hub: add favorite bands, and turn on notify-me alerts for

bands, venues, and genres — optionally with a radius. New show posts

that match send you an in-app alert.

RSVP on the show page (going / interested), see who's going,

and find a gig buddy if your crew bails. At the venue,

check in to log it on your profile; check-ins are location-verified

so they mean something.

No alerts arriving. Check your notify-me subscriptions in the Fans

hub — radius, genres, and city all filter. Alerts are in-app only; look

for the header badge.

Tonight near me is empty. It uses your saved city — set it in

signup or your profile. Rural areas legitimately have quiet nights;

widen the radius or check the city page.

My check-in didn't count. You have to be near the venue —

location-verified means what it says. Make sure location is on.
