Venue response-time badge

Venues carry a response-time badge — "⚡ usually replies within a

day," "usually replies within 3 days," and so on — computed from **real

reply times**, not self-reported. It shows on the venue page and next

to the venue in the Venues directory.

How it's computed

  • Every booking proposal the venue approves or declines counts as

one reply.

  • Reply time = when the venue decided minus when the proposal arrived.
  • The badge uses the median of the last 20 replies, so one slow

week doesn't tank it (and one fast reply doesn't fake it).

  • Venues that have never replied to a proposal get no badge — the

site shows nothing rather than guessing.

Buckets: within a day · within 3 days · within a week · over a week.

Why it matters

Bands pitch several rooms at once and commit to whoever answers first.

A fast-reply badge is the cheapest marketing a venue can get; a slow one

is honest feedback.

Tips for venues

  • The Bookings page lists every proposal awaiting your decision.

Approve or decline promptly — each decision feeds your badge.

  • Frictionless mode (calendar manage panel) confirms slot bookings

instantly, which counts as an immediate reply.

FAQ

Can I pay to boost my badge?

No. It's measured behavior, and it updates on its own as you keep

replying.

Does it count proposals from before this feature launched?

Yes — any decided proposal in the database counts, so established

venues get a badge immediately.
