Recurring residency slots

A residency is a regular slot at a venue — "every first Friday," the

classic. Instead of adding the same Friday night over and over, define

one recurring rule and the site materializes the concrete bookable

slots on the calendar automatically. Bands book those dates through the

normal booking flow.

Adding a residency rule

  1. Open your venue's Calendar and scroll to Manage slots →

Add recurring slots.

  1. Tick the weekday(s).
  2. Set Repeat: `Every week` for a weekly night, or `Every 1st` /

`2nd` / `3rd` / `4th` / `Every last` for a monthly residency

(e.g. every 1st Friday).

  1. Set the start/end time and the From date (optionally Until),

then Add recurring.

The calendar fills in the matching dates; each one is bookable like any

other slot.

How it works

  • Concrete slots are created lazily when the calendar renders, so a

rule can run for years without cluttering the database.

  • Rules never create slots on blackout dates or on dates where a

slot already exists.

  • Deleting a rule stops future slots — already-created slots stay, so

booked shows are never disturbed.

Tips

  • Run a residency as a monthly rule rather than weekly if you want to

rotate bands — one band rarely wants every single Friday.

  • Pair the rule with your house rules so every residency band agrees to

the same terms.

FAQ

Can a band request a specific residency date?

Yes — residency dates appear as normal available slots. The band clicks

one and books it.

What if the 5th Friday exists but I picked "Every last"?

"Every last" always means the final matching weekday of the month —

4th or 5th, whichever is last.
