Practice log

A private log of your practice time that you can share, read-only, with your instructor(s).

Logging practice

Open My lessons (`/my/lessons`) and use Log practice: date, minutes, and what you worked on. Your running total shows at the top of the page. Delete any entry with the Delete button.

Sharing with an instructor

Under each log entry, pick an instructor from the Share with instructor dropdown and hit Share. That entry appears on the instructor's lesson dashboard marked read-only — they can see the date, minutes, and your notes, but can't edit or delete anything.

  • Sharing is per-entry, not all-or-nothing: share the entries you want feedback on.
  • Unshare revokes access immediately.
  • Instructors are notified when you share with them.

Instructor view

Instructors see shared logs on their Lesson dashboard (`/lessons/instructor/dashboard`), newest first, with the student's name. There is no comment thread — talk about the practice at your next lesson.

FAQ

Does sharing let my instructor edit my log? No. Shared entries are read-only; only you can edit or delete your log.

Can two students share with the same instructor? Yes — the dashboard lists each student's shared entries separately.

Do shared logs survive if I delete my account? Entries are yours; deleting them removes them (and their shares) entirely.
