Checking in ("I'm here")

On the day of the show, tap "📍 Check in — I'm here" on the show's fan zone to log that you were there. Check-ins are the strongest signal in your gigs-attended count and the fastest way to earn loyalty badges.

How it works

Open the show's fan zone on the day of the show.
Tap Check in — I'm here.
If the venue set its location, your browser shares your position and the site verifies you're within the check-in radius (default 2 miles, configurable by the site).
Done — your check-in shows on the fan zone and in your fan profile.

Two modes

Verified check-in — the venue set its latitude/longitude. Your submitted location must be within the radius. The measured distance is stored with the check-in.
Date-only check-in — the venue never set its location. The page says so plainly ("⚠️ This venue hasn't set its location"), and checking in just proves you tapped the button on the right day.

For venue managers

Set your venue's latitude/longitude on the venue profile edit page (under "Location"). Paste the numbers from a map pin. This enables verified check-ins and makes "notify me" radius filtering work for your shows.

Tips

Check in at the door while you're thinking about it — the button only works on the show date.
Location permission is only needed for verified check-ins; if you deny it at a venue with coordinates set, the check-in won't go through.
One check-in per show per person.

Troubleshooting

"Check-in only works on the day of the show." Your device date and the show date don't match. Check-ins open at midnight and close at midnight server time.

"You're outside the check-in radius." Your GPS put you farther than the radius from the venue's pinned location. Make sure location services are on and you're actually at the venue — then retry.

"Allow location access and try again." The venue has coordinates set, but your browser didn't share a position. Allow the location prompt and tap again.

I forgot to check in. Upload a photo to the show's photo dump afterward — it counts toward your gigs-attended total just the same.
