Tribute bands

A tribute band is flagged as such on its band page, with a badge naming the

artist it honors (e.g. "🎭 Tribute to Metallica"). The flag also powers the

"Tribute bands only" filter in the band directory, so fans can find tributes

quickly.

How to flag your band (band admins)

  1. Open your band's page and go to Info (or the admin panel) → **Edit

info**.

  1. Check Tribute band and type the artist name (e.g. "Metallica").
  2. Click Save info.

Uncheck the box and save to remove the flag.

Tips

  • Name the specific artist, not "various". Fans search by artist name.
  • If you play multiple artists' material, pick the primary one — the badge

holds one name.

  • Your band still appears in normal directory searches too; the flag just

adds the tribute-specific filter and badge.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

  • My band doesn't show in the tribute filter. Make sure the box is

checked and saved — it's on the same form as the biography.

  • Can a non-tribute band join the filter? No — the filter only lists

flagged bands. Don't flag a band that isn't one.

  • I'm not an admin. Only band admins can change the tribute flag.
