Venue marquee text

"TONIGHT: THE RUSTY FRETS" — the marquee generator writes the line for

the venue's signboard so you don't have to count characters at midnight.

Using it

  1. From the Flyer studio, open Venue marquee text

(`/shows/<id>/marquee`).

  1. The box is pre-filled from the show: "TONIGHT: {headliner} with

{support} — {venue}. Doors {time}. {price}". (Shows not happening

today get "FRI 10/02"-style dating instead of "TONIGHT".)

  1. Edit freely — the preview below scrolls exactly like a marquee board.
  2. Copy text puts it on your clipboard (text it to the venue);

Save keeps it on the show's saved list for later.

Tips

  • Marquee boards are short — if your line runs long, cut the support act

first, then the price.

  • Save one variant per night for multi-night runs.

Troubleshooting

  • The preview doesn't scroll. It's a CSS animation — "reduce motion"

browser settings still it intentionally.

  • Copy does nothing. Older browsers block clipboard access; the text

box is plain text, so select-all + copy works everywhere.
