Smart Profile Links

Your MusicXen address: MusicXen.com/your-name. Bands, venues, and musicians all get vanity URLs — easy to share, easy to remember.

How it works

  • Users: Go to Settings → Your profile link. Pick your address (letters, numbers, hyphens).
  • Bands: Band admins set it from the band page → Profile link.
  • Venues: Venue managers set it from the venue page → Profile link.

Your old address keeps working if you change it — it redirects to the new one automatically.

Who gets which name?

Bands and venues get priority over regular user accounts. If you pick a name that matches a band or venue, you'll see a warning: "you could lose this URL if they claim it."

If a real band or venue signs up and their name is taken by a regular user, the band/venue gets the URL. The previous holder is notified and can pick a new one.

Tips

  • Shorter is better: `/metallica` beats `/metallica-official-band-page`.
  • Use hyphens between words: `/liquid-joes`, not `/liquidjoes`.
  • Your vanity URL works everywhere your profile link does — share it on flyers, social media, and merch.
