Getting started: new venue

Here's the path from signup to your first booked band.

Step 1 — Sign up as a venue (5 min)

Run the signup wizard and pick the Venue

position type. Then claim or create your venue profile: stage size,

house PA/backline, load-in details, address, genres you book.

Step 2 — Finish the venue profile (15 min)

  1. Fill every field — the profile completeness badge (X/8) drives

bands to trust you, and complete venues get more proposals.

  1. Add photos (stage, room, load-in door) and set your **typical

pay** — bands filter on this.

  1. Write your house rules (pay splits, load-in times, age limits):

bands must agree to them before they can propose.

  1. Set blackout dates and curfew/noise info so bands propose

realistic dates.

Step 3 — Publish bookable slots (10 min)

Create venue slots — date + start/end time — for the nights you

want live music. Slots can be open for any band to claim, or

approval-based. Confirmed bookings lock the slot; expired holds

auto-release. Bands browse open slots and book straight in.

Step 4 — Handle proposals

Incoming band proposals land in Bookings. Each shows the band card

(demo reel, draw estimate, genres), the proposed date, and whether they

agreed to your house rules. Approve or decline; use

counter-offers to negotiate date, pay, or slot. Your

response badge tracks how fast you answer — bands notice.

Step 5 — Settle up after the show

The settlement flow records door take, guarantee, and payouts so

both sides see the same numbers. File a no-show report if a band

bails — there's a dispute process, and it's honest, not automatic.

Troubleshooting

No proposals coming in. Complete the profile (photos + typical pay

matter most), publish open slots, and check your response badge — slow

venues get skipped.

Bands propose dates I'm closed. Set blackout dates and keep your

slots current; the free-bands board only shows what you publish.

A band no-showed. File the report from the show page; the band gets

one response and a moderator records the outcome.
