Venue draw estimate

"How many people does this room actually draw?" The venue page answers

with a draw estimate computed from your own history: the typical

door gross range (and, when cover prices allow the math, a typical

headcount range) across your settled past shows.

How it's computed

  • Only confirmed shows with a saved settlement count.
  • You need at least 3 settled shows — with fewer, the page shows

nothing rather than a misleading number.

  • The range is the low–high span with the median in the middle; it's

labeled with how many shows it's based on.

  • Headcount is estimated as door gross ÷ ticket price, using the

show's cover price. Shows without a parseable cover price contribute

to the money range but not the headcount range.

What it's for

Bands use it to sanity-check whether your room fits their draw — a

200-cap room that typically grosses $300 is a different pitch than one

that typically grosses $3,000. Venues with real numbers get taken more

seriously.

Tips

  • Run the settlement screen after every show (band Calendar →

Settlement). More settled shows = a tighter, more believable

estimate.

  • The estimate follows the money you actually recorded. If door deals

were settled off the books, they can't count.

FAQ

Why does my venue show no estimate?

Fewer than 3 settled shows, or the settlements recorded no door gross.

Settle a few shows and it appears on its own.

Can I hide it?

No — but it's your own real numbers, shown as a range, and it's one of

the strongest trust signals on the page.
