Guide: booking a show

The whole proposal flow, step by step.

Illustrated walkthrough — these are simplified drawings of the flow, not screenshots of the live pages.

1

Find a venue and read its profile

Search venues by city and genre. Open the venue page and check: stage size, house PA/backline, typical pay, and the house rules — you must agree to them to propose.

Pick a date that works

Check the venue's calendar for open nights, then check your band's calendar — the clash checker warns you about double-booking but won't stop you. Aim 4–8 weeks out.

Send the proposal

From the venue page, start a booking proposal. Pick a gig template (headline / support / festival / private) to prefill the details, write a real opener — the template picker helps — tick agree to house rules, and send. Your band card (demo reel, draw, genres) goes with it automatically.

The venue responds

The proposal lands in the venue's Bookings inbox. They approve, decline, or send a counter-offer (different date, pay, or slot). The back-and-forth happens in the booking thread — watch for the notification badge.

5

Confirm and coordinate

Once approved, the show gets its show page and a show chat opens for the band, venue, and promoter — date, venue, and agreed pay are pinned at the top. Pin the load-in time too.

6

Promote it

Open the flyer studio from the show page — the flyer auto-fills from the show details and carries a QR code to the real show page. Work the promote checklist and share the link.

7

Play, then settle up

After the gig, the settlement records the door, the guarantee, and payouts — both sides see the same numbers. Mark the booking done and the "gig played together" post goes to your band wall.
